A FEW THINGS, BEFORE YOU ASK.
Good to know.
A thoughtful little product,
still taking shape.
Can I buy an InkDesk today?
Not yet. InkDesk is in development. The companion app and backend have been implemented; ESP32 firmware and physical display testing are still ahead. A price and release date haven’t been announced.
What can I put on the display?
Four templates are implemented in the app: Today’s Focus, Weather Window, Photo Frame, and Days to Go. The product visuals here are concepts; on-device rendering still needs hardware validation.
Do I need a device to try the app’s weather?
No. With a configured backend, you can choose a city and preview real weather in the app before you have a display. Weather shown on this website is sample content.
Does everything need an internet connection?
New weather and remote edits need a connection. The device is being designed to keep cached content and calculate dates and countdowns locally. This behavior still needs to be implemented and verified in firmware.
Is the app available in the App Store?
The app currently runs in development builds. It hasn’t been released in the App Store. We’ll add a download link when a public release is available.
